Hotel Mario
The cutscenes from the 1994 Philips CD-i game Hotel Mario have become a common running joke on The Channel of Egg, due to their frequent use in YouTube poops.
Origins[edit | edit source]
In 1994, Hotel Mario was released on the Philips CD-i. Though it was officially licensed by Nintendo, they did not have any input on the creation of the game, which was developed by the company Fantasy Factory. Throughout the game, several animated FMV cutscenes play, which have become infamous for being awkwardly written and animated.
In 2006, the cutscenes from the game became a popular source for YouTube poop.
Running joke[edit | edit source]
The cutscenes from Hotel Mario have been a running joke on The Channel of Egg since the channel's beginning, and have appeared on the channel frequently, though not as much as the CD-i Zelda cutscenes have.
