The Channel of Egg
The Channel of Egg is a collaborative YouTube channel created by Keapy. It was created on July 21, 2020.
The videos posted to The Channel of Egg are usually bizarre, purposely low quality YouTube Poops and other YTP-esque videos, many of them being based on inside jokes among the channel's members. Occasionally, higher effort videos are posted to the channel, such as original animations and higher quality YTPs (the Christmas YTPs, for example).
History[edit | edit source]
The Channel of Egg originally started as a collaborative video with Keapy, LunarLemon, and some other people on June 4, 2020. The video was going to be random clips made by different people put together in a video. This idea ended up failing because not many people wanted to contribute.
On June 25, Keapy suggested to make a collaborative YouTube channel, rather than just one video. Nothing really happened until July 21, when the channel was created. The first video posted on the channel was Fish.mp4, which was posted by Nintenlego, followed by welcome, which was posted by Keapy. Stardust and PonyWithSocks joined the channel on July 23.
The videos posted to the channel in the first few months of its existence were quite different to what is posted to the channel today. Many of them are more simple meme videos (hotel mario and real life, for example), and many of Nintenlego's early videos were unedited video recordings. What the channel's members consider the first "weird" Channel of Egg video is dbfjadbsfsakfgkdsfgdf, which was uploaded on September 6, 2020.
On December 6, 2020, PonyWithSocks was removed from the channel, due to drama between him and LunarLemon. Domoforsale joined the channel 5 days later on December 11.
In 2021, there were four days in which a large amount of videos were uploaded. The first was January 1, the second was September 4, when the Sans Undertale in Fortnite videos were posted, the third was October 8, the Hulk vs. Spiderman Day, and the fourth was November 15, when the Spiderman Sequels were posted.
In 2022, Stardust and Mister left the channel due to a loss of interest.
