The Channel of Egg: The Animated Feature Film

The Channel of Egg: The Animated Feature Film is a canceled feature-length animated film, which was intended as a sequel to The Channel of Egg: The Animated Television Special. It began production in 2021, a couple months after the special's release, but was canceled in 2023 due to the Channel of Egg's members finding it to be too ambitious of a project.

Synopsis[edit | edit source]

Egg Dude and Joe the Stickman go on an adventure to help Morshu find his long-lost brother Lesglov. Meanwhile, several evil forces threaten the existence of Eggland and its inhabitants.

Production[edit | edit source]

The idea for the film was originally conceived during the production of the Animated Television Special. Pre-production began in September 2021, with the channel members writing down ideas for the film, and production officially began on November 7, when the script was started. The next several months were spent writing the script and creating concept art.

Storyboarding for the film began on April 6, 2022, and sentence mixing for Morshu's lines was started in May, but neither were ever finished. Production slowed down heavily in late 2022, and by early 2023 production had stalled completely. The film was officially canceled on July 25, 2023, due to a loss of interest in working on the film and Domo personally disliking how the script turned out.

Spring 2021 - Someone in the channel (likely Keapy) comes up with the idea for a sequel to The Channel of Egg: The Animated Television Special, as well as a second sequel that would be feature-length.
September 10, 2021 - Domoforsale sends a message on Discord containing several ideas for the film.
September 26, 2021 - Pre-production on the movie begins. A document is created for the channel members to write down ideas they have for the film.
October 24, 2021 - A Google Drive folder for the movie is created and several more ideas are written down.
November 7, 2021 - Production on the film officially begins after the script is started.
April 6, 2022 - Storyboarding begins
April 22, 2022 - The script is completed, and a logo for the film is created.
May 10, 2022 - Sentence mixing for Morshu's dialogue starts.
July 27, 2022 - The final storyboard page is created. Production on the film slows down after this.
January 30, 2023 - The final edit is made to the movie's script
April 1, 2023 - The film is postponed.
July 25, 2023 - The film is officially canceled.
