In 2021, the YouTuber MrBeast created several channels that hosted dubs of his videos in several different languages. One of these channels was for Spanish dubs of his videos, and on July 29, 2021, a Spanish dub of his video "I Ate A $70000 Golden Pizza" was uploaded to the channel.

On November 17, 2021, [[Keapy]] accidentally found MrBeast's Spanish channel while looking through his YouTube recommendations. He for some reason found the Pizza de Oro video funny, and created the video [[mr beast awesome]] the same day. The video has been referenced on the channel several times since then.
